It will now be possible to set event duration in WhatsApp community chats
WhatsApp has introduced a new event feature for community chats, making it easier for users to plan and organize events. This new feature will be especially useful when multiple events are planned within communities. Android users will now be able to set the start and end times of events, add a location and a WhatsApp call link to the event.
WhatsApp first introduced the ability to organize events in May and began rolling it out to Android beta users in June. It continues to be tested in the beta version of WhatsApp and a similar feature for community announcement groups is in the works. The feature, currently available in WhatsApp’s Android beta version 2.24.17.11, allows community members to manage events more effectively.
It is not yet clear when WhatsApp will make this feature available for all users. However, Android users who want to try the new features early can test them by joining WhatsApp’s beta program. This new event timing feature could be a big step towards a more organized and planned community management on WhatsApp.
